LÍNEAS DE INVESTIGACIÓN
Desde el año 2004, desarrollo en el programa de Inmunología del ICBM el estudio de la respuesta inmune innata en estados fisiológicos y fisiopatológicos.
- A partir del año 2005, me incliné a explorar el impacto de la inmunidad en la mucosa intestinal lo cual fue facilitado por la excelente colaboración que mantengo hasta el presente con el Dr. Rodrigo Quera, gastroenterólogo que se desempeña en el campus clínico de la Clínica Las Condes. Estudiar la regulación del eje IL33 y de los TLR en diferentes condiciones fisiológicas y en respuesta a estados inflamatorios y tratamientos anti-inflamatorios.
- Determinar los mecanismos por los cuales bacterias AIEC sobreviven en macrófagos.
- Determinar los mecanismos involucrados en la regulación de la respuesta inmune de mucosas por glucocorticoides.
Profundizar en los procesos celulares que participan en la etiopatogenia de las enfermedades inflamatorias intestinales
